Located at Lempdes, nearby Clermont Ferrand, the Volcano Maze has been created by two Auvergne natives, willing to have their region discovered. Meticulously sown during spring season, corn can reach 9 feet high by july. Beside the help of Vulcos, the Gallic, each visitor will receive a very handy map to direct himself inside. |

Nowadays, we can see tracks from the Antic or Mythology era stoned mazes. By the Renaissance, the first vegetable mazes were grown for the French Kingdom. Actually, the United States were the first ones to turn this structures into an entertainment fields. Conceived with cleverness, kids and grown-ups can track the maze at their own speed, whoever you visit it with, by yourself or with your friends and family. |

A shady parking lot and picnic areas invite visitors to a family break. On the Marmilhat Agricultural School site, this 8 hectares vegetable maze offers its 19 miles walks to the adventurious ones. From 1.30 hour for the fastest and most oriented, up to 3 hurs for the saunter ones. Anyhow, bring your walking shoes and hats (it's hot in corn fields). |

| Opening : td> every day from July to end of August.. In September on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Opens at 10 am. Closes at 7 pm. Friday, until midnight (don't forget torches). How to get there : From Clermont Ferrand, take the A72 highway to THIERS - LYON. After a 5 minutes ride, exit on Lempdes Centre 1.2 or Lempdes Z.I.1.3 (no fee).Then follow either the specific signed road or follow the " Louis Pasteur " Agricultural School - Marmilhat - Lempdes. |
