All are a living museum to the glory of fruit from five continents As a method of protection and area of discovery, the Jardin des Hespérides is a surprising journey through fruit country. It is a pleasant, original and educational walk. |

Using out eight different subjects, the Jardin des Hespérides allows the discovery of two extraordinary insights into the vegetable world which accompanies that of the people. The Loire-Atlantique garden : Brings together the fruit varieties, which originate from the local region. There are varieties of apples, pears, peaches, cherries and strawberries that new methods of farming have tended to overlook. |

The World garden : The history of fruit goes back to the origins of Man. Each fruit has its birthplace and its own sometimes quirky story. The Phoenician, Roman and Arab civilisations ; the silk and spice trade routes, the Crusades and explorers ; these have all helped the propagation of various fruit away from their country of origin. |

You will discover also the new fruit garden , the wild fruit garden, the Neolithic garden, the Mediterranean garden and the Botanical fruit garden. Last but not least, the Strawberry Garden : The herbaceous strawberry plant is present in all countries. Its Latin name "fragaria" comes from the verb "fragare" which means to embalm. Gifted with numerous nutritional and therapeutic virtues, the strawberry is a remarkable fruit. |
